My Dear Fate, Why Do You Mock Me?
In which the high cost of education is discussed and a conclusion is reached.
Tell me I wasn’t dreaming. Funny how fate seem to play with our petty lives, one moment she had me believing I was truly on my way to achieve my dreams and the next I find myself asking questions that I shouldn’t be asking myself.
It seems that an overseas degree is something beyond my reach now. After much thought I have come to realize that my overseas degree might not be such a good idea after all. I know its going to cost me a bomb and I have no means to pay for it.
Even if I chose a deferment payment plan I still need someone to pay the interest to the bank and someone who needs to pay for my expenses while I am abroad. Since I don’t have the luxury of being rich, I figured I will not burden anyone with my dreams and desires.
I decided that I will work very hard and save up as much money as possible and hopefully someday I will find a way to achieve my dreams.
To seek your consolation is to take pity on myself and that is something I never done very well. I shed no tears for myself and ignore the pain it has caused me. I know these wounds will heal and I also know that I might be chasing a lost cause. It might take a while. A very long while and even that does not guarantee anything.
Who knows what the future will be like? So far it has been very bleak yet I do not despair. Not while I believe in Hope. But there are times when Hope looks so questionable. I cannot let it get to me. A promise is a promise. And I do my best to keep my promises.
All that remains is to find work and work hard at it, and never forgetting the dreams or the fire that fuels it.
What are my dreams?
To become a film director and make the greatest movie the world has ever seen. I know you secretly laugh at me. It doesn’t bother me. I know someday I will achieve this. Why? Because I can.
This is a personal entry to remind the author that he has dreams and he must never give it up.
So till my next post ya, its bye from Ganz.
