The 4hrs, 19mins and 31secs Wait

I have a problem. Actually I have lots of problem. One of them is that I cannot differentiate between my work from my hobby. Here’s an example.

The image of the bathroom tap that you see was modeled and rendered in modo 202 by yours truly. It took my laptop 4hours, 19minutes and 31seconds to render this frame.

Now imagine if it was a 30 second animation. That’s over 750 frames to render. I am guessing it would take about 135 days to render the animation on a single laptop machine running 24 hours a day.

Yes, it’s a scary thought. But luckily modo can’t animate. It’s just a 3D application build to integrate itself into a 3D pipeline. It has a lot of great tools and features and an awesome rendering engine. I must say, it has one of the simplest rendering engines I have ever come across.

Not only can it dish out professional looking renders you need not be a rocket scientist to understand how it works. But if you are a perfectionist rest assured modo can accommodate to your needs are well. The best part of modo 202 for me is the render tri window.

You can actually see a preview how your model will render while you are modeling. And the preview keeps redrawing at an amazing speed. It never once froze or lagged my computer. It’s one of the most refined and stable 3D application that is currently available on the market.

And folks, the best part of modo 202 is that it is free for 30 days and comes with a lot of tutorials and videos to help you get started.

In which the author wants to thank an extremely talented friend.
Thanks Latifa, for helping me get the modo 202 license key. Might be needing another license soon. I think I got only 12 days to go. Funny I only remember using it for 6 days at most.

So till my next post ya, its bye from Ganz.

Sorry about the other day, I was very busy.

And wow, I didn't know you were so good in 3D. Your work looks very professional. You still want to go and study? You can easily get a job with this kind of skill.

I don’t often receive calls, so I don’t really keep track of my handphone. I only realized I lost my phone on Sunday and that was a day after I lost it.

Its ok, everyone is busy with their lives. Just thought we might meet up for old time’s sake. Well there’s always a next time.

Thanks for the compliment, I ain’t that good. Just doing what I can.

Modo is a great modeling app but its adoption rate is really poor.

It's great to know that there are some people using modo to generate beautiful renders.

Anyway it's a great render and your Gallery is great. Btw I noticed you have a very novel way of writing about things.
