ORD Shoot

How is one supposed to feel when he is informed at the very last minute that he has to attended a 2nd combat shoot on the following day? Well thankfully for them, I am not a hot headed person but I did express my displeasure with my colleagues though.

After all, according to a directive, one is not supposed to go for a 2nd range within a 3 month time frame. If you folks remember I actually went for a range not too long ago and I haven’t been cleared to fire again. But someone in the management decided that I needed to go for my ORD shoot after promising me that I didn’t need to go.

After much hassle I ended up completing my combat shoot today. Although I didn’t get to be Marksmen, I can finally rest knowing that I will not be having anymore range.

But there is one thing I simply cannot believe. And that is the querulous nature of some of the officers. It seems all the do is blame one another, point fingers behind each other’s back for their own mistakes and act as if they actually possess a sense of camaraderie.

If I weren’t intelligent I would say the army is place where one can learn a great deal of things that would prove useful in the future. But you see folks; I see what the army really stands for. I cannot tolerate these lies anymore, I want to speak up but I realise that nothing I say will ever matter to these people. It’s a lost cause and the only thing I can do now is to sign my clearance and wait for the day I become free of my national slavery.

You know folks, the past two years, ever since I was enlisted in the army; I have been slowly losing my desire to stay in Singapore. I just cannot see myself growing old in this country. They have killed my love for this country and if I ever get the chance to leave Singapore for good, rest assured I will go. But not without regrets, I will miss my family, my handful of great friends and those beautiful fluffy clouds.

So till my next post ya, its bye from Ganz.

It has been tearing me as well. I used to be dealing with hypocrites before clearing leave.

I really doubt we can do anything about it unless you manage to befriend Mr Lee in SOCC platoon.
