A Brother Unlike Any Other

Today was a little special. I finally was able to meet up with my childhood friend, Mathi. He is more than a friend to me, he is like my brother. If there is one person I can trust and count on, it would be him.

Although I can go on and on rambling about how great a person he is, I feel that it is unnecessary as most of the people who know him as well as I do, will no doubt agree upon his good nature and qualities.

Today we met upon my request actually. Well the whole situation started when I read his blog and realized my good old friend was feeling rather depressed. So being Ganz and all, I took it upon myself to arrange an impromptu meeting with him. And yes I felt rather guilty of not entertaining my friends and not being there when they need me.

We met at West Mall and took our lunch, if that’s what you call it. There we talked about the good old days and of his personal issues which I am not going to reveal here because it’s a private conversation between a young man (Mathi) and a crazy chap who hails from Marsiling, Singapore (yours truly).

After our chat we headed home. When I reached home I showed my dad my new purchase and my mother was there shaking her head in despair knowing that once again her son has bought another useless electronic junk for a hefty price.

My purchase, the long awaited, Linksys wireless router. I must stress this point to my dear readers; I haven’t been following the wireless scene lately and am blissfully unaware of the rapid improvements and technology associated with wireless communications. But I do know for a fact how to setup up a simple wireless home network.

And I did just that. And to test how good my wireless connection was, I brought my laptop to the kitchen and surfed the net. I was quite impressed with my connection and got the customer satisfaction of making the right choice.

And oh I was really tempted to buy the Xbox 360 controller for my Laptop. The only reason why I didn’t buy it was because I haven’t got any latest games that would utilize the awesome controller. I guess I need to wait for some new games before investing in the controller.

Last but not least I have completed 365 entries for my daily dictionary. All I need to do now is to remember all these words and their meanings. Well folks it’s easier said then done.

Overall it was a good day though it was marred by the bloody rain. On a final note I would like to take this opportunity to wish my brother, Mathi all the best in his future endeavourers and also pray that his love finds its courage.

So till my next post ya, its bye from Ganz.
