Labour of Love

Hi folks, this is an update on my personal projects. Some of which have been incidentally in development for many years now. Well as you can see if I were to concentrate on any one of them at any one time, I might just have finished atleast one of my projects.

I seriously think it’s a fundamental flaw in my character. But hey, it’s not like I am going to earn money from these projects. It’s my labour of love. So I guess I am going to take a while before I can even finish one of them.

The best part of this whole experience is I am free to dream up as many concepts and ideas that I personally feel is lacked by today’s creative mediums.

Personal Projects

Ramayana, The Legend of Rama (Script)
Currently doing my 4th draft. Trashed my 3rd draft because I felt there were not enough cinematic moments. Yes you heard me right not enough cinematic moments.

S2 (Story)
Exploring character traits of main characters that will appear in S2. Having this ridiculous idea of ending the story in the air, so as the reader can decide what will happen after the catastrophic events that will transpire at the end of S2.

The Tin Machines (Animation)
Scraped original storyline because I seem to draw parallels with my own work, S2. Proposed a new take on The Tin Machines short. Planning to use a gray palette for my art style.

The Lord of Darkness (Story)
A trilogy in works. Longest time in development, I think it was in early 2001 when I had the idea for this. Finally decided that I will narrate the story from the antagonist point of view.

Ideas explored to a certain degree

Little Blue from the Planet Unknown
An in-depth study on the human nature; disguised as a simple children story. Story follows the journey of a tiny one eyed blue alien and his alien dog on their experiences with earthlings.

12 Guards of a Woman.
Short passages on the 12 aspects of a woman. Refer to post dated Friday, January 21, 2005

Trans – Sister Radio.
Based on a book I read of the same name. I am considering writing a radio script based on 4 characters (the woman herself – a polytechnic lecturer, her lover – Kindergarten teacher, her lover’s husband – owner of small but respectable business, and her lover’s daughter) talking about their relationship with an Indian Transsexual.

I am basing my story in Singapore and am going to write this trans-script for my Indian community. I am sure it would be a real eye opener. I have to write it in English and probably hire a Tamil linguist to have it properly translated.

Ideas in conceptual stage

* The Explanatory Doctrine of God’s Behaviour
* How to burn democracy to Ashes
* Lion City Kings
* And many more nonsensical ideas that will never see day light.

So till my next post ya, its bye from Ganz.
