DELL Delirium
Do you know how a child feels when he receives the present he or she really wants? Well I felt that way too, when I finally got my hands on my new laptop. I was so excited to get my very own laptop after so many years. It's really satisfying to know that all the years of saving like a little bird has finally paid off.
Some of my friends have asked why choose Dell over other brands? I simply choose Dell because they were offering a great deal and were the only ones that were offering the customization I was looking for. Though my heart is still with the Sony Vaio, I got to be honest here, I really can’t afford a Sony Vaio.
But hey I not regretting one bit, my new dell is rumored to be a powerhouse and boy does it deliver. Although its not going to win any beauty contest, it’s in the running for the most powerful multimedia laptop.
You just can’t beat its 256MB NVIDIA GeForce Go 6800 card with the awesome 17" UltraSharp Wide Screen UXGA Display. All my games runs faster and looks better on my laptop than on my desktop.
I spent most of the day transferring all my work data into my laptop and also occasionally installing games to see how awesome or rather as NVIDIA’s motto goes ‘the way it was meant to be played. I also installed Photoshop CS 2, Dreamweaver MX 2004, Flash MX 2004, Alias Sketchbook and my favorite Maya 7 unlimited.
I was really surprised on the generous workspace I have on all these applications. I can’t believe that I was running Maya 7 on 1920 X 1200 resolution. I almost cried. I still can remember some 13 years ago I used to work with computers with monochrome, vga, svga and resolutions of 640 X 480 and 800 X 600. I am glad those days are over.
Well folks I still haven’t explored all of its secrets and am currently tempted to play games on my laptop now. I guess I will do just that.
So till my next post ya, its bye from Ganz.
