08. New Year’s Resolutions

Stick To A Budget
It goes like this, I get money and I spent money. Being a lowly private in the Singapore Armed Forces has its financial consequences but I don’t wish to discuss about the army because it is in my estimation only a waste of words.

Anyhow the real problem is that I buy stuff without thinking how I am going to manage the rest of the month. As a result, I keep feeling the pinch in my pocket because I am a stubborn headed ox reluctant to ask his father for more cash.

Well some of you might be aware that I am doing freelance design, but these days I seldom get money from doing freelance. And even if I get paid I keep very little of it for myself and use the rest for a special purpose. Let just say there are people who need this money more than me. Sometimes I get the feeling I am not doing enough for them but hey it’s all I can afford.

So as to ensure my own survival next year, I need a budget. A budget I need to religiously follow.

Target = Make a budget and stick with it
