Colossal Betterment
Dear Readers, in the weeks to come I will be updating all my posts. It is because I am very self-conscious about how I use the English language and worry about the increasing amounts of grammatical errors found in my posts.
Writing unlike speech is less forgiving. Whatever we say can be inspected any number of times and analyzed for errors of meaning, vocabulary, organization and style. Also writing can circulate beyond people we can see face to face and is often read by total strangers. As if all of this wasn’t bad enough writing is governed by a set of rules that are not always intuitive and many of which were developed hundreds of years ago. It is easy for those who know the rules of writing to put down those who don’t and many people avoid writing simply to avoid such situation.
But I know becoming a good writer takes practice, both in reading and writing. I now need to read to gain experience of how others have expressed themselves and I have to write to improve my existing techniques and also to be bold enough to experiment with new and different techniques.
Although there are many different types of writing, I need to establish a creditable standard in the use of the English language so that I can reach out to my audience. Hence, a colossal betterment will be taking place to better illustrate my intentions and its meanings.
So till my next post ya, its bye from Ganz.
