Coincidence

What are the odds?

Well as I was browsing through a magazine, I came across an advertisement. It was an ad about local animations and film shorts. One particular thing about the ad caught my attention. There was an anime about Ramayana: The Legend of Prince Rama.

If you have been a frequent reader, you would realize that I am currently involved in writing a script for Ramayanam: The Legend of Rama. Yes I got to admit, it’s been a painfully slow process for me to write this script. Actually I think it’s been 21 months since I started work on it and I have only partly written the 2nd draft.

The reason I am calling it a coincidence is because I never expected to read about Ramayana in a Magazine. Especially since I rarely read magazines of any nature expect of the one about video games. That goes to show that important things you ought to know will somehow find its ways to you.

In this case, I had to ask myself whether the script I am writing has any real value, now that someone else has made an anime of it. To my own surprise I answered a resounding yes to myself. My heart simply wasn’t going to give up.

Like Dr. Laurence J. Peter once said there are two kinds of failures: those who thought and never did, and those who did and never thought. Like I said before I have a lust for failure and if I never tried and I would never know.

So till my next post ya, its bye from Ganz.

Not sure which date exactly it’s coming out but I know it’s out this month. I was too distraught to read about the details.

HaHa. Regarding about the thousand takes, it’s kind of like the silly LOTR cartoon versus the LOTR film by Peter Jackson.

We all knew which one was better right. But I have to admit I loved those hamsters looking hobbits from the cartoon
