Contingency Plan

I am the go to guy.

If you were to ask me now how I would sum up my NS life as a signaler, I would say I am the contingency plan. It’s seems like I am the go to guy if there’s any problem with trunk communications system. Hey I am not a regular or a damn technician but everyone from every signal battalion has come looking for me whenever they have a major problem with their switches or radios.

Ok, I admit. I am the only person in Signal institute that has read and understood the switch manual and also have the honour of having the most detailed drawings of my detachment down to the earthing points. I am not boosting but I can care less if you thought so. I do my job so well that I have earned the nickname, Switch Master.

I just hate people who claim they know more about my work then me. It’s not about how long you are doing your job that matters to me. It’s about how well you do your damn job. And even though I dread on the fact I have to do national service and also being a lowly paid auxiliary instructor, I took it upon myself to do my job to the best of my abilities.

Why you might ask? It’s the same answer as before. Because I can.

So till my next post ya, its bye from Ganz.
