Faster and Poorer
First up, I have just upgraded my internet connection to maxonline 6500. I took up the Xbox 360 plan and will be contracted for 2 years. It also means I need to shelf out an extra $12 for the faster speed each month. Though I wasn’t keen on upgrading, my Father and Brother keep complaining that the internet speed has become considerably slower ever since I bought my wireless router.
So as a result, I decide to kill to birds in one stone. I upgraded my internet connection and also preordered the Xbox 360 as part of the deal. The only problem I have with this whole thing is that I need to top up $299 for the Xbox 360 core system. I don’t mind paying this amount if they gave me the hard disk rather than a 64 mb memory card and a game I don’t even dream of buying.
The second thing is that I have been planning to buy a DSLR camera for a very long time now. Lately I have taken a great deal of interest in photography. Why the sudden interest in photography you might ask? I really don't know.
I feel that I need to take better pictures because my I cannot stand the blurring in my camera apart from the lack of features like exposure, white balance, aperture and focus.
I also want to manipulate my images with Photoshop and try to incorporate 3D elements in my photographs. I just want to experiment.
But I think the real reason for my motivation for getting a camera is because I ought to have a good foundation in photography if I am ever going to be a film director.
After all the film schools I checked put has some kind of photography classes. And since I am putting off my studies for the moment, I might as well take this opportunity to learn as much as possible.
But like all noble deeds, I have this lingering thought in my head. I feel it’s just going to end up as an expensive hobby I might get sick of it sooner or later.
If you have been following my ridiculous blog, you would probably realize that I am in a fix right now. There are so many things I need to pay for and without the constant income of my freelance I cannot help but ask myself whether or not I really need to buy the camera.
I even thought of selling, my Sony cybershot camera which by the way I took 8 months to save and buy, my beautiful Wacom tablet and my beloved Xbox just to buy my new camera. Although my Father is against me selling my stuff, I got no alternative unless of course I was to borrow the money from him and buy the camera.
God, why am I a stubborn headed mule.
So till my next post ya, its bye from Ganz.

Thanks Mitch for your advice regarding all the cameras and sending me those links. And not to mention listening to my crap on msn.
The more I think about it the more unsure I become. I just don’t like telling myself that because of money I cannot do the things I want to do.
I think I made a decision and I will stick with it. So what if I am a little poorer at the end of the day, it’s the dreams we hold that are important.
No matter how long it takes, or how hard it’s going to be, we will get there. Promise. And I keep my promises.

Yes the faster connection is definitely worth it. Go for the Xbox 360 offer if you want to play games with your bros. But act quickly as the offer is valid for a short time only.
And it’s been a long time since we met up. Maybe we (I meant the three of us) should get together next week. I'm so bored at home.
And Mitch I am no photographer, you are. I am simply buying the camera to do my personal work.
