The Zealous Spending Spree of Ganz

I foresee a great event that will leave my pockets empty as an idiot’s mind. I am an idiot in more ways than one could imagine.

I am an idiot with money. I spend money without ever thinking of the consequences. I just follow the little guy in my head. I believe in angels and devils. But sometimes I wonder if that little guy in my head is a really my angel or the devil in disguise.

Well I know I am going to be in dire need of cash by the time I am done with this month. Why, because I need to buy things. Things that cost money, things that burn holes in already torn pockets and things that will mock my poverty. I need to buy things for myself and also I need to buy things using my Deepavali celebrations as an excuse.

The only problem is I have stopped my secret freelancing job for a while and with it my only other source of income apart from the miserable allowance the Singapore Armed Forces gives in the name of national service.

And if you are wondering why my freelancing is a secret? Let me enlighten you, some idiot says it is a so called offense for a national service men to engage in work outside of the army while serving his country. But being Ganz and all, I really don’t give a damn about army regulations because I know I am being exploited and I am merely getting even with them with my own theatrics.

After all People should not be afraid of their governments. Governments should be afraid of their people.

In case you are wondering why I stopped my freelance, it’s because my room is in a freaking mess and I got to paint the whole house. I spent my entire weekend painting my house. While I was painting I made a list in my head of the things I wanted to buy.

And since I am notorious for losing little pieces of paper that have important information on them, I decided to post my list on me blog site.

2 New Shirts – with collars of course.

2 Pairs of Jeans – is it me, or I always buy the same color jeans.

A Quarter Dozen Shorts – my mother always buy those 3 for $10 ones. Not only they are cheap, the last pretty long too.

Contact Lens – I miscalculated on my monthly disposables and now have to order new ones.

Decent Shoes – cause since my foot problems I can only wear shoes that have no arc in them, so that is why I keep wearing my silver street soccer shoes.

All 3 Lord of the Rings movie posters – I am sick of seeing the same posters in my room, esp. the 2003 Shinobi Calendar. I going to tear them all down and replace them with LOTR posters.

A New Cover for my horrible army phone.

World of Warcraft Game Card for my brother – although I hardly play the game, my brother is in love with it. One year ago, he hardly knew what a mmorpg was, but now he is transfixed on it.

Cotton Swabs – I am convinced cleaning my ears daily with cotton swabs is the only cure for my slight hearing loss.

An Attitude – it seems that I am too nice of a person and people like to take advantage of me.

And as if my list wasn’t big enough, I need to change my glasses because I accidentally scratched them while removing paint from the lens. Not only has this added to my misery, it goes to show I can never keep my glasses from scratching. That was the reason I wanted contact lens in the first place.

Sigh...
