A Fresh New Look
Blog De Ganz has been revamped. After much thought, I finally decided that it was time to change. And boy does it look good. I think I will pat myself on the back on my outstanding work. Just kidding folks.
To achieve this new elegant look, I actually spent many hours pondering on how I might be able to achieve this. So I came up with a few basic principles. I have to make a confession here, though I always have paraded that I never follow principles yet alone design rules, sometimes we just need to have “guidelines” so that we don’t go astray.
Good design is the act of making something in an artistic manner, which is something you learn. If you follow some basic rules like from colour coordination to layout skills and typography, it will help you make better sites.
So the first thing I decided that I needed was to have a controlled palette. So I used a very tight range of colours- mainly shades of brown and green. I used white for the main links I wanted on the site.
I also decided to use a limited amount of typography. I wanted to have a distinctive look and feel without sacrificing usability and readability.
I also changed my boring left sided navigation to the right. And it now houses a quick link to my official portfolio site as well as a place to feature one of my early artworks.
The only problem I seem to have now is that IE shows my site differently when compared to Mozilla Firefox. I have been trying to solve this little alignment problem for almost two hours and still haven't found a solution. Oh well, since I hate IE anyway, I recommend all readers to jump ship if you haven't to Mozilla Firefox.
So I hope you guys like my new revamped blog site cause if you don’t I'm not gonna change it back!
So till my next post ya, its bye from Ganz.

well designed page... like what i have said - the colours combination. and even if you get the colours right, you have to use them on right places too. really great work you have done. you're always inspirative to stop my slackness.
