Grass Isn't Always Green
Things are not what they seem anymore.
It’s been a while since I watched TV and enjoyed myself. I have even done what I have thought was impossible for me, I have stopped playing games too. I have lost interest in many aspects of my life. I no longer even watch wrestling and soccer. The only two things I actually loved since I was a kid.
I actually watched wrestling more than soccer. The only reason why I watched soccer was because I didn’t want to be left out from my friends. I watched wrestling because it was the only entertainment source that satisfied my desire.
But now I do not know what’s wrong with me, I feel drained of life idiocies. It’s like I woke up one morning and realized that the world I live in has absolutely no meaning. What's more is that I have grown extremely intolerant of stupidity and also have become a person who believes that there must be a reason for everything. Sometimes when I do not find reasoning behind the things people do, it enrages me.
Wrestling
In wrestling, it really sounds silly when you consider that they are beefed up actors beating each other senseless week after week. Violence is something society doesn’t condole, but WWE has legions of fans who embrace it. Is it fun to see grown men and women beating each other up for some silly championship belt. I guess it is, if it wasn’t try explaining to me why my 70 year old grandmother knows who is Stone Cold Steve Austin.
Soccer
In Soccer, the fact that 22 men running after a ball sounds silly on paper but it remains as the world’s premier sport. People, who have no direct association with the clubs they support, are willing to spend money and time believing or rather cheating themselves that they are a part of the club they support. So long as these idiots’ eyes are tied by so call passion or blind devotion, the clubs themselves can milk these fans of their money.
Newspaper
I have stop reading the papers because I feel it’s the same bloody news everyday. Some one dies, rape, sexual harassment, molestation, corruption in some country, some stupid kid dies because curiosity got the better of him, some useless Guinness book achievement, shocking research findings that seems to go against what we have been told to believe in, some Hollywood affair or scandal, some people whining and complaining on how the country ought to be run, biased movie review by people who never understand the difficulties of filmmaking or the fact that they are believe that they can make a better movie, sport statistics that means absolutely nothing to anyone, nugatory advertisements that seem to capture our attention, and finally some dumb local news to fill in the empty pages on the newspaper.
Games
Games or rather electronic entertainment is something that has taken most of my childhood away. I am not blaming my loss of childhood on games because games in a way inspired me to be the person I am today. I learned more things from games than from stupid teachers in school who knew nothing more than the contents of the book they were reciting from.
But lately games have been all they same, its only the context in which they are played is different. I have grown bored of the repetitive nature of games and sometimes just the mere thought of repetitiveness puts me off. Maybe that’s why I enjoy reading books more than playing games now.
Army
I seriously do not know the reason for national service in my country, it like they just need people to fill in the slot that others have left. Although it was an ideal that was started by the government, telling the people that they need an army to defend our nation. But the people in the army are just puppets listening to routine orders and never really questioning the directive because if one was to question, one must be in a position to question. Rank plays an important part in the army.
A lowly private cannot question the judgement of a senior rank because he is after all branded as someone who has no experience. And if you did manage to question them, they would say that today’s soldiers do not follow orders and ask too many questions.
And some how privates and corporals in the army are people who doesn’t have what it takes to lead men and they only thing they can do is to follow orders set by authoritative powers. Some of us in the army are too smart for the system, some of these privates and corporals are wise beyond their years and more calculative then their senior counterparts. But when will the army learn this, maybe they already know this but have turn a blind side to it because they just need people to fill in the empty spaces left by others.
So till my next post ya, its bye from Ganz.
