A MOTHER’S WRATH
Where have all our Gods gone?
I can’t believe that the world has suffered yet another natural disaster. This time the number has grown bigger and the scale has gotten a whole lot larger. This quake is said to be the fourth-largest since such measurements began in 1899, according to the NEIC, tying with a 1952 quake in Kamchatka, Russia.
Some of the tsunamis reached as far as 1,600 kilometers from the epicenter of the 9.0 magnitude quake, which was located about 160 kilometers off the coast of Indonesia's Sumatra Island at a depth of about 10 kilometers.
More than 4,500 people have been reported dead in Sri Lanka. In Tamil Nadu state, 1,725 people have been confirmed dead. Thousands are now missing and more than a half million displaced.
This may be the worst natural disaster in recent history because it is affecting so many heavily populated coastal areas and so many vulnerable communities.
After watching the gritty pictures of those who perished in the quake and tsunamis, I can’t help it but to ask myself where have all our Gods gone?
So till my next post ya, its bye from Ganz.
