CONCERNING SUPERHEROES

My 10 Favorite Comic Superheroes.

I am not a serious comic book reader or a collector. I only read comic books when I get the chance. It’s been years since I have actually bought comics. So you might ask where I got my comics from? Through the internet, of course.

Through the net I got to read many old issues of the comic that have run out of circulation. And if you wanted to buy these comics in Singapore, those shops selling these books will jack up the prices so high that only the serious collector is willing to pay for them.

So with the help of the net, I have had the pleasure of reading some of the best graphic novels the world has ever seen. Most of the comic books that I have read, happens is fully realized worlds. Though there are some logical loop holes in each one of them, it’s a small price to pay given the imagination of the writers and artists of these comics.

So as for today I have made a list of comic book superheroes I have grown to love. Many of you might ask why bother with this useless information. Well all I can say is when I get a chance to see my blog in a later part of my life; at least I know how I felt and what I liked. Given that this blog service doesn’t go bust.

So here is my list of my favourite comic superheroes.

1) Batman
2) Spider-man
3) Spawn
3) Wolverine
4) Blade
5) Hell boy
6) Superman
7) Morpheus (The Sandman)
8) Thor
9) Hulk
10) Ghost Rider

Although there are ten heroes whom I grown to love, it’s batman that has captivated me the most.

Batman is the darkest hero of the comic world, and perhaps his popularity is due to the fact that he is not a meta-human; he has no special abilities or powers other than his strength and intelligence, which have been developed through hard work and training.

Perhaps Batman's obsessive behaviour gives us a glimpse of what would happen if our little obsessive behaviours became overwhelming. Or maybe his dark side brings out the dark side of every person.

Batman's motivation is what draws us to him - his parents' tragic, senseless murder, and a man trying to make sure that no one in Gotham City has to undergo what he did as a child. Whatever the reason, Batman seems to be the most compelling character in comics and is my without a doubt my favourite comic hero.

And for all you readers, Batman was first created by Bob Kane in 1939.

Oh wait I think I sign my bat sign, to the bat cave! Damn I just remembered I am renovating the cave. Oh well, I just have to call in to say that I am sick.
