An Obituary

In which the author throws away his past.

The phone, the Nokia 5210, is now at the bottom of the Singapore River.

Why?

Because I threw it into the River. One does well when one keeps his promises.

Oh, it’s just a promise I made to myself one day in the army that I will throw this phone into the Singapore River.

The phone represented my national service. The act of throwing symbolizes what I think of my national service.
