Lack of Appreciation
Is it so hard to reward those who are deserving?
This is probably the worse period of my NS unit life and is all due to the poor planning by the camp management. How they got the idea to support so many courses with so little equipment is beyond me.
Infact I really got no problems with the number of courses, lack of working equipment, shortage of manpower or regulars’ and NSFs’ work attitude. The only problem I have is the lack of off-days that I am supposed to be rewarded with.
Yes, I am looking for some kind of reward because I am a lowly paid corporal who goes beyond his requirements to run things smoothly. Hey I not asking for more money or a deserving promotion, I’m just asking for more days off so that I can go home and do the things I want to do. But it seems like my Team IC has other ideas.
Since my Team IC is posting out and he is giving the people around him the ‘I don’t care, how you do it, just do it’ attitude. Luckily I dare say I am pretty good at planning stuff and managed run things smoothly.
Well I think he was impressed in the way I managed to conduct the practical test for the CRAZY 77 platoon. Actually I named this platoon the CRAZY 77 and guess what the name stuck, everyone seems to refer to them as the CRAZY 77 now. So it’s true then, keep saying something and people will eventually adopt it. Hmm…Got to remember this lesson, I think it’s gonna be super useful in the future.
And why would the army require 77 officers? Well it’s none of my concern, I just do my job. Well, only one more week to go before Stagmont Camp returns to become Slackmont Camp. And hopefully by the end of it all, I can take some time off and go for a short holiday.
So till my next post ya, its bye from Ganz.
