King Kong Limited Edition

Worth every dollar.

After saving a dollar a day for the past one month, I finally saved up enough money and bought the King Kong 2 Disc Limited Edition DVD. I actually paid for it using my Credit Card because it wouldn’t have been very nice to have dropped 35 one dollar coins.

Since Credit Cards are a status symbol in our society, it did make me feel a little proud to pay by Credit Card. All my pride quickly vanished when I realized that my hair which has an impeccable habit of not listening to me decided that I had to suffer yet another bad hair day.

To further degrade myself publicly. I went to Causeway Point in shorts exposing my hairy but sexy legs. I know you gals will go all crazy for my manly legs and I know it can’t be helped. It’s just that I was wearing my black Brazil shorts which my mother happened to buy at the old interchange at an amazing value of 3 for $10.

Though no one will know its price and really couldn’t care if they did, it did make me a little uncomfortable to have had worn shorts to the shopping centre because my knees were shaking due to the air conditioning.

Apart from exposing my hairy but sexy legs and a hairstyle that would have made Carlos Valderamma proud; whom by the way was my favourite player in USA 94, I was delighted no, no, I was euphoric when I finally got my hands on the DVD. I was so happy that I was desperately trying to tear the plastic from the Package while I was walking back home with my brother.

Once I got home I spent the entire Saturday night to the early hours of Sunday morning watching the DVD. I even skipped my running because Kong deserved attention and I wasn’t going to say no to a 25 foot hairy ape.

Well I have watched the 2 disc in its entirety and simply loved it. The production diaries found on the second DVD were particularly interesting because it shows how the various departments were involved with the movie’s post production and their fight to finish the movie on time.

I will highly recommend this DVD to anyone who can appreciate the hard labor and love that went into making this magnificent movie because this is my biased opinion.

Man, I can’t wait for the 4-disc Extended version of King Kong. I want it now!

So till my next post ya, its bye from Ganz.
