Reno Works!

After twenty years, my father has decided or should I say been persuaded by my mother to renovate the house. Okay it’s not the whole house. We are doing a major overhaul of the kitchen, two bathrooms, some minor floor tile work in the dining area and hacking work in the balcony.

This is actually phase one of our family’s Deepavali preparations. Needless to say, I have already mentioned before how important Deepavali is to me. In fact I don’t really care if good triumphed over evil, since when did evil triumph over good and we had a grand celebration for it?, anyhow all I care is the smiling faces of my friends and relatives when they come visiting for Deepavali. And not to mention the food.

On the darker side of things, I have never seen my house in this state before. My room is full of things. Not my things but of my grandmother’s kitchen assets. All the furniture has been moved to make way for the contract workers. And also my family has to eat out until all the renovation work finishes. Though I am spoiled by home cooking, I have no choice now but to eat out.

Maybe I will use this as an excuse and try to shed more weight. No matter how hard I try these days I can’t seem to reduce my weight. It’s like a god damn curse.

Anyway my main intention of this post was to update you guys that I am having a major renovation in my house and because of it my house is in a freaking mess. So now isn’t the best time to come visiting. But do not worry; my doors will be open to all come this November.
