Things To Say and Nothing To Get Across

In the which the author speaks of work, favourite things and the philosophy of life.

So far, Work has been good. Although I was told it was a typical 8 to 5 job, I haven’t gotten the chance to leave at 5. Yesterday I left at 2.30am and had to grab a cab back home. It’s a non issue, it’s not like I have a girl friend waiting on me or like I am going to miss my favourite program on television. If you are not aware, I don’t watch the telly much and neither do I listen to the radio.

Now that brings me to the point of my favourite things. These days I just don’t care about them anymore. All the materialistic things I ever wanted in my life seem so utterly meaningless. I don’t even fancy myself to want anything except for the things that might inspire me or necessary for me to use in order to finish my work.

Growing up in a middle class family I always dream of Luxuries in life. Whenever I saw a sport car or a Mercedes parked below my block I used to tell myself that one day I was going to buy one of those and there was no need to walk to the bus interchange to take public transport ever again.

But now, I just don’t care. I know there is more to life than owning luxuries. I take pleasure in the simple things I do. Although my philosophy of life may contradict with yours, I don’t give a damn. Life is too beautiful to be wasted arguing over who is right and who is wrong.

To god, no matter how good or bad you are it does not make a difference to her. I know by saying this, I will attract a lot of attention, its like saying a child rapist will not go to hell.

There is no hell, except the ones we make ourselves. I know it is against the religions of the world but I can care less. It is not my intention to get any message across, it is how I look at life.

By the way the best part of my work, is not the work but the beautiful lights turned on by people doing overtime in their buildings. It’s a speculate to behold if you have the eye for it.

The Formula for All Life

In which the formula for all life is finally revealed.

Hope is the doorway to belief, belief is the doorway to knowing, knowing is the doorway to creation, and creation is the doorway to experience.

Experience is the doorway to expression, expression is the doorway to becoming, becoming is the activity of all Life and the only function of God.

What you hope, you will eventually believe, what you believe, you will eventually know, what you know, you will eventually create, what you create, you will eventually experience, what you experience, you will eventually express, what you express you will eventually become.

This is the formula for all life.

It is as simple as that.

- Home with God, Neale Donald Walsch
