An Electrical Fiasco

In which the author spends an hour in darkness.

I was about to blog when my monitor suddenly went blank. And before I knew it, I was sitting in my room in total darkness. This is the second time this year I am experiencing a power failure.

The weather hasn't been cooperating lately and the heat was really getting to most people. Singapore by nature is hottest during mid year, and gets especially warm during the night. So when the fans and air conditioning went down, everyone started to whine and complaint. This shows how much we have come to depend on electricity for our daily needs.

Yet the most remarkable thing was that my dad was able to sleep through this whole ordeal without even realizing that there was no electricity in his room to power the fan.

My dad is indeed a remarkable man.
